Co-design workshops with expert stakeholders
A research project on how digital tools could improve medicine safety communication (like patient cards and safety leaflets) across the EU. I conducted desk research and planned and facilitated co-design workshops in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Spain with clinicians, regulators, industry reps, and health-tech developers, using speculative design activities to surface expert visions for a digital future. Findings pointed to major shifts in roles and responsibilities, and new ethical questions as patients gain more active roles in their own data.
EXAMPLE OF MY ROLE:
I planned and facilitated online co-design workshops with expert stakeholders from Spain and Denmark. The workshop was based on findings from the literature review and exercises from previous workshop experience, built in Miro, and qualified by researchers from the Pharmacy department.
Co-design for a better study environment
A co-design project on student stress and wellbeing at ITU. In February and March 2022, we ran workshops with mixed groups of program directors, study administration, and students to understand the issue from every angle within a large institution. Combined with a quantitative survey from the ITU Student Council, the findings led to a solution proposal that was unanimously approved by ITU's Board of Studies: students can now defer one 7.5 ECTS course per semester without needing a doctor's note, giving them more flexibility without breaching progression requirements.
PROJECT PLANNING
Structured the project from problem definition to deliverable, grounding the workshop design in desk research and a quantitative survey from the ITU Student Council, to make sure the process addressed the real scope of the tilmeldingskrav issue.
WORKSHOPS WITH RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS
Planned and facilitated workshops in February and March with mixed groups using creative exercises to help participants without a design background contribute their domain knowledge and generate ideas together.
ANALYSIS & RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACTION
Synthesized workshop findings together with the Student Council's survey into a concrete solution proposal, which was unanimously adopted by ITU's Board of Studies: students can now defer one 7.5 ECTS course per semester without a doctor's note.
